{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. via SouleMama
I discovered your blog thru Enjoying the Small Things and just wanted to drop by and say hello.
I was touched by your comments about your sweet daughter and the dog bite.
Unfortunately, I have walked in your shoes. Number 2 was only 5 weeks old, and sitting in a bouncy seat on the table where I was paying bills, when Number 1, only 2-years old, either stepped on pound puppy's tail or back. I heard the dog yelp followed by the shrill scream of my 2-year old. Fortunately, our dog bit her upper arm, but I'm think she was going for her face.
Since that event, we have become a dog-free home. :) Not that we won't ever get another pup, but for now with a 6, 4, and 11-month old, I have enough on my plate w/o having to clean up and worry about one more "child"! I certainly don't want my 6-year old to become paralyzed by fear of dogs, but I now truly believe that ANY dog will bite, given the right circumstance, and it is our job to protect our little ones.
Anyway, my heart goes out to your little one and I love that you mentioned that this event will not define you or your family!
